As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our dedicated Finance team as an Accounts Payable Manager.


As the Manager of our Accounts Payable Department, you will lead the AP team through a re-organization of the department, including its processing workflow. In this heavy leadership and project management role, you will be asked to bring value to the organization and department by implementing process improvements and improving internal controls. Your responsibility will include identifying innovative and creative solutions, as well as being the lead to see them through to completion. Example projects may include EDI and automated workflow solutions, amongst others. You will be responsible for developing and implementing new key performance indicators and metrics for the team, as well as implementing performance development plans where necessary. You will also be responsible for working with other departments and operations management on various projects, in which timely and effective communication will be needed. The development of regular reporting around the AP function and communication protocols on issues and non-compliance with company policies will be necessary. As department manager, you will have overall accountability of the timely and accurate completion of invoice processing and verification, expense coding, drafting of checks according to terms and discounts, and month end responsibilities.

Skills / Requirements

To be successful in this role, a Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred as is 5+ years of AP management experience within a high volume and multi-location/retail environment.

The person selected for this role will have demonstrated strong management, communication (written and verbal), leadership, and analytical skills.
