Jobing Description

To coordinate and perform a wide variety of department/office activities that will increase efficiency, expedite/coordinate the work of others, and ensure the smooth operation of the department/office. Work closely with the Department Chair and Vice Chair of Education to coordinate education and professional development activities and support the academic administration of the department. Assist in the coordination of activities (including DMS, D-H, MHMH, and VA) related to faculty searches/offers, appointments, re-appointments, requests for clinical privileges, and promotions.
Skills & Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of office procedures.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Highly proficient with computer applications including powerpoint, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Ability to take initiative and anticipate the needs of the senior leadership of the department.
Flexibility in work hours.
Minimum Experience: Four plus years of office experience in a related field, with a high degree of autonomy.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
Masters Degree preferred.
FLSA: Non-Exempt
