Jobing Description
Participates in the successful design and implementation of a comprehensive institutional giving program to maximize both philanthropic and strategic academic/industry relationships in support of Dartmouth Medical School and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
Skills & Knowledge: Ability to work with and command the respect of faculty, senior administrators, Trustees and other high level volunteers.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize work in response to multiple requests from several individuals and departments.
Demonstrated analytical, critical and strategic thinking abilities
Strong facilitation skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
Creative, professional and entrepreneurial spirit desirable.
Communicates respectfully with diverse constituencies and fosters inclusiveness and diversity in the institution.
Minimum Experience: Three to five years of fund-raising experience in a comprehensive development organization, preferably in corporate or industrial relations or the equivalent.
Grant writing experience or equivalent professional writing experience.
Experience in an academic medical center setting or basic sciences environment preferred.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent.
Advanced degree preferred.
