Jobing Description

Develops, implements, oversees, and ensures the quality and safety of instructional laboratory modules and student projects involving digital electronics, microcontrollers and embedded systems, and in related areas as assigned.
Skills & Knowledge: Broad engineering background with specific knowledge of digital electronics and embedded systems.
Proficient with hardware description language (e.g. VHDL) based system design, simulation, and implementation.
Skill working with lab instrumentation.
Excellent analytical, communication, and teaching skills.
Documentation skills.
Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
Minimum Experience: 5 years in engineering design & implementation, including digital electronics, FPGAs, microcontrollers/embedded systems, system design, and sensor interfacing.
Broader experience in engineering such as analog design, control theory, mechatronics, thermal systems, PSoC is a strong asset.
Academic and/or teaching experience is an asset.
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in science or engineering, or equivalent.
Ongoing work to remain in the forefront of the field.
Masters degree would be an asset.
