We are looking for a Grooming Assistant to assist the Pet Stylist(s) in one of
PETCO s many Grooming Salons.

What You ll Be Doing:

When not grooming, you ll bathe/brush, blow-dry, and/or apply conditioner on
dogs and cats that require haircuts
Complete daily grooming payroll and commission paperwork
Daily complete and file reminder cards for each pet groomed
Assist with generating and developing the grooming business by utilizing
periods of time when not grooming pets to write and send customer reminder cards
Greet sales floor customers and promote grooming services and/or hand out
discount flyers
Ensure Grooming Salon cleanliness and safety meets PETCO standards by
sweeping, mopping, etc. on a regular basis
Assist in booking grooming appointments and keeping follow-up card file active
and up-to-date
Special projects as assigned

What Qualified Candidates Will Have:

Able to demonstrate basic knowledge in the grooming industry
Preferably either a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED)
