Special Instructions to Applicants:
Position Purpose: To provide front-line computing and instructional technology support services for Tuck students, faculty, and staff.
Skills & Knowledge: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively assist often-frustrated users in high-pressure situations.
In-depth knowledge of operating systems, applications software and instructional technologies.
Extensive experience configuring and trouble-shooting computers and a/v equipment in a highly networked environment.
Commitment to diversity, providing excellent service, and to serving the technical support needs of a diverse community.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and manage time effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions.
Ability to work independently as well as being an integral member of a multi-person support team.
Strong technical writing and oral communications skills.
Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of experience providing front line computing support services in a progressive IT environment preferably in a diverse educational environment, supporting a heterogeneous mix of integrated information and instructional technologies.
1-3 years of in-depth experience in a highly networked environment supporting predominately MS OS and productivity applications.
Demonstrated ability to perform in a demanding and stressful environment.
Proven track record of commitment to IT support excellence.
Demonstrated innovative analytical problem solving skills.
1-3 years of experience working with and troubleshooting analog and digital audio and video equipment.
Specific experience with Crestron and BIAMP DSP a plus.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree with courses in computing/information technology, or the equivalent work experience.
A+, Microsoft, Apple or other information technology, audio/video support certifications desirable.
Proven commitment to continued professional development of technical support and customer relations skills.
