Description

Description: Will be a member of a fleet application team that works with all levels of the user community in several locations across the country to assess their business needs and to design and deliver software solutions. Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of diverse, vendor-provided software applications.

Position assumes a special assignment during refueling outages and an emergency preparedness role. The position requires that within 6 to 12 months from hire date, the employee assumes an Emergency Response Team position.Once the employee assumes the Emergency Response Team position, s/he is required to report to duty at the assigned emergency station within 50 minutes of site's emergency activation.

Position Requires: Candidate must have an aptitude to learn new programming languages or database management skills. Training and development opportunities will be provided. Must also have strong problem solving and debugging skills as well as analytical and technical skills. Good written and verbal communication skills desirable. Must foster excellent achievement through teamwork.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 3 to 6 years programmer or database administrator experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in IS or CS, or related technical discipline. Desired skills include: Web technologies; database technologies such as Tomcat, JavaScript and .net; and programming languages such as SQL and Java. Candidate should have the ability to accommodate occasional travel and overtime.

Work Schedule
9-80s work schedule with alternate Fridays off.
