Special Instructions to Applicants: This position is funded by a grant.
Position Purpose: To perform analysis of various biological and environmental samples using ICP-MS or IC in accordance with established procedures.
Skills & Knowledge: Good organizational skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Conversance with general laboratory practices and equipment such as balance and pipettes.
Experience in the operation of specialized instrumentation for inorganic analysis such as Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Ion Chromatography (IC), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), and/or Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) preferred, but not necessary.
Experience with spreadsheet calculations.
Familiar with quality control and basic statistics.

Minimum Experience: One year of relevant laboratory or science experience.
Minimum Education: Associate's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
