LICENSED SITE PROFESSIONAL

**This position will be filled in either our Manchester, New Hampsire or Plainville, Massachusetts office.**

As a Licensed Site Professional (LSP) at Terracon, you will be responsible for executing and reporting on a wide variety of environmental consulting services including: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments; subsurface investigations; and remediation projects.

General Responsibilities:

As a fully competent professional, applies diversified principles and practices in broad

areas of assignments. Makes independent decisions on problems and methods.

Performs as a fully-qualified professional proficient in the use and application of

principles, theories, practices and company standards in their discipline. May devise

new approaches to problems encountered. Assignments may involve application of

computer software, including spreadsheets, CAD, as well as computer modeling. In

some cases, directs the ongoing technical policies/procedures for carrying out daily

responsibilities of work assignments on clients projects.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Assists in establishing and updating current policies/procedures for all technical projects

in field of expertise for the company, to ensure proper interpretation and implementation

by subordinate staff.

Provides technical direction/training to all less experienced professional staff to enhance

individual capabilities for advancement and promotion along career paths.

Performs other office, laboratory, and/or field consulting assignments as necessary to

accomplish work for client.

Assists in technical training and makes informed decisions based upon state of the art

technology issues.

Participates in the development of marketing strategies and presentations of

qualifications to clients on projects.

In accordance with company procedures, approves or prepares reports for relatively

complex projects, making appropriate recommendations as necessary on relatively small

or large projects.

Acts as senior consultant on projects requiring complex and innovative investigation

techniques and supervises the analyses and formulation of recommendations in written

report formate to clients; provides technical review of reports.

Safety Responsibilities:

Complete safety orientation program

Abide by safety and personal protective equipment policies

Demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe behaviors

Drive defensively, avoid preventable accidents and always wear a seat belt

Attend regularly scheduled safety training

Report all unsafe conditions to your Supervisor

vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Essential Skills/Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to prepare reports using Microsoft Office.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet

and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme

cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to

loud.

Overnight travel may be required with this position.

Education/Experience:

Ph.D degree with at least 4 years of demonstrated consulting experience in field of

expertise, or

MS degree with at least 6 years of demonstrated consulting experience in field of

expertise, or

Bachelor s degree with at least 8 years experience in an environmetally-related field; or equivalent

License/Registration:

Valid driver s license (unless arrangements have been made with approval of Division Manager and Corporate).

Certification as recognized in field of expertise is required.

Professional Geologist or Engineer registration in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Maine is a plus.
