Jobing Description

Position Description: This individual is responsibility for implementing marketing plans and initiatives for science and math brands. The primary focus will be on multi-channel marketing initiatives that lead to increased demand for products and stronger brand awareness. This person is responsible for implementing key marketing initiatives including STEM, funding opportunities, partner and trade association programs and other special marketing opportunities.

Areas of responsibilities also include development of collateral, sales rep territory marketing, exhibits/workshops, and online marketing including web content updates.
This individual will work as a team player with others in the marketing department by sharing information and assistance, and will work closely with the sales team, internal and external product development partners, important vendors, and others both inside and outside the organization.

Responsibilities:
Recommend, research and implement special projects initiatives.
Help with implementation of marketing initiatives including catalogs, direct mailings, electronic marketing, websites, tradeshows, workshops, advertising and publicity.
Contribute to messaging plan, write copy and recommend images for marketing collateral and selling tools.
Research, write and contribute to the creation of special selling resources such as white papers, effectiveness studies, success stories and other materials.
Maintain and update website content and recommend online marketing initiatives.
Provide recommendations and support for special packages and promotional offers.
Build an understanding of customer needs and expectations, marketing trends and competitions and communicate findings.
Help analyze initiatives, prepare reports and make recommendations for change/growth.
Provide assistance with budgeting and regular monitoring of budgets. Requirements: BA or BS degree
Ability to read, speak and communicate effectively.
Creative problem solver, hands on approach attention to detail.
Collaborative style, team player with the ability to work effectively with others at all levels inside and outside the organization.
3+ years in marketing, preferably in the education field.
Experience with or in-depth knowledge of the PreK-12 Market, particularly in science and math education, including core curriculum, supplementary curriculum, classroom resources and digital products.
Experience in or an understanding of the selling process, adoptions, bids and contracts.

Some travel, including overnight travel required.
