Job Description:

Maximize profitability of commodities by the analysis of strategic merchandising programs, methods and practices with vendors and customers. Communicate, monitor and improve promotional programs with vendors and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities:

* Negotiate gross profit buying opportunities with vendor while maximizing bill out inventory profit
* Negotiate and execute promotional merchandising programs with vendor
* Setup and Maintain item and vendor data integrity (pricing/item accuracy/item changes/item assortment/category marketing info/lost margin resolution)
* Assist vendors and buyers with dead and excess inventory resolution
* Interface with outside C&S departments as well as retail customers for resolutions and Vendor relations
* Study and anticipation of commodity changes to maximize revenues
* Verify accuracy of pricing and reconcile any discrepancies
* Communicate promotional programs to the customers
* Maintain alternate sourcing program profits.
* Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree or equivalent required.
* 2+ years Food industry knowledge preferred.
* Merchandising/Procurement/Finance experience.
* Wholesale or Retail Procurement experience.
* Strong Communication, Negotiation, Organizational, Analytical and Mediation skills.
* Must be able to Multi Task.
* Technically Proficient.
* Organizational Skills.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, Access and Excel.
* Must be a Team Player.
