Description

Supervises the staff in Systems Engineering to ensure Electrical systems and components are monitored and maintained to high reliability standards. Plans, develops, coordinates and directs large important projects or small projects with complex problems. Provides expertise and leadership for the completion of assigned projects and plant equipment reliability initiatives. Performs tasks requiring original concepts and a high level of expertise. Leads staff, teams and other small groups. Overtime and callouts required to support emergent work, plant outages and other conditions as needed.

Position assumes a special assignment during refueling outages and an emergency preparedness role. The position requires that within 6-12 months from hire date, the employee assumes an Emergency Response Team position. Accordingly, once the employee assumes the Emergency Response Team position, they are required to report for duty at the assigned emergency station within 50 minutes of the site's emergency activation.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years specialist or 10 years related experience is required.
* Nuclear electrical systems and component knowledge expected.
* Thorough working knowledge of nuclear industry standards and regulations.
* Has demonstrated several years of successful experience leading advanced and complex engineering projects.
* Must be adaptable, organized and a strong team and individual leader.
* Strong verbal and writing skills required.

Work Schedule
9-80 work schedule with every other Friday off. Overtime and call-ins required
