Job: Seasonal Distribution Center Associate

Jobing Description

Position Description: Job summary
This is a general DC associate position. This associate may work in any area of the DC, to include: Receiving, Shipping, Order Filling, Stocking, Returns, or Packing. The primary objective of this associate will be to perform general warehouse duties required to fulfill customer orders.
Summary of essential job functions
Receiving
oUtilize RF or terminal to receive inbound product
oInspect product for quality
oVerify unit count against packing list and receiving document
o Breakdown vendor receipts prior to putaway
Shipping / Packing
oUtilize RF equipment to assign cartons to pallet
oVerify order completion
oStage product for shipment
oCreate Bill for Lading
oLoading truck
oUtilize dunnage and tape machine to complete packing process
Order Filling
oUtilize RF equipment to pick product
oInsure product quantities and correctness
oPrepare product for proper placement in carton
oReplenish pick location as required
oUtilize Pick to Light as required
Stocking
oUtilize RF equipment to put product away
oRemove product from vendor carton were appropriate
oMake effective decisions regarding inner packs vs. unit stocking
oInsure product is stocked in an organized fashion
oAlert management to location sizing / max quantity issues
Returns
oIdentify and receive product against appropriate RMA
oCreate RMA for blind returns
oVerify product quality to determine stockability
oCreate LPN s for use in product putaway
Exercises care within work environment to prevent injuries. Support and follow all company safety policies and procedures
Assembly
oUnderstand Bills of Materials and associated documents
oPackaging and placement of product in bins, boxes or bags
oAssemble and label corrugate
oMeet production and quality goals
oRefurbish kits to meet BOM and quality requirements Requirements: Knowledge/Skills required
General computer skills
Must be able to perform simple math calculations
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Must have the ability to learn multiple job functions
Abilities required
Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
Must have ability to walk, climb, or stand for up to ten hours a day.
