Job: Senior Buyer

Jobing Description

The Senior Buyer is responsible for:

Obtaining raw materials, production tooling, and machinery and MRO supplies of acceptable quality at the lowest cost, in the shortest lead time necessary to satisfy manufacturing demands and support operations.

Responsibilities:

Achieve favorable purchase price variance.

Negotiate, write and review supplier agreements and contracts.

Conduct supplier audits.

Member of Product Development Teams.

Develop and maintain supplier relations by knowing key individuals, having knowledge of supplier processes, responding to suppliers needs and issues, keeping suppliers informed, communicate and meet frequently to nurture relationship and resolve issues and discuss opportunities.

Measure and report Supplier performance.

Position Description & Requirements:

Education Required:

Bachelors degree in Business or Operations

Skill Sets:

Multitasking, problem solving, decision making, written and verbal communications

Computer Skills:

Strong computer knowledge is required to include Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience:

* 3 to 5 years Purchasing or Business experience
* Working knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, familiar with contract law, negotiations, aware of market trends, computer literate
