Job: Service Tech (Temporary)

Jobing Description

SUMMARY:

Under supervision, this individual will effectively perform check-in of all FLIR service cameras and accessories itemizing contents into SAP business sytem. Also coordinate with service team any discrepant return information, observing and listing any incoming damage. The individual will provide quality checks on cameras using acceptance test procedures which will result in the successful repair and maintenance of FLIR Systems Thermography products. This technician will also assist internal technicians providing solder support, calibration support, software dongle support as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct itemized check in for all Thermography products and coordinate any discrepant return information to the service team.

2. Assist Engineering in development and implementation of system upgrades, ECO's, and new product implementation by providing quality feedback.

3. Assist as needed developing standard repair and maintenance procedures which will be documented to company and ISO 9000 standards.

4. Provide technical support in the development of customer service spare parts inventory, including establishing requirements for contents and quantities.

5. Provide calibration support as needed.

6. Provide quality assurance testing using acceptance test procedures.

7. Support the testing of demo, rental and trade-in equipment.

8. Perform other job related duties as required.

Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a minimum of 1 year prior work experience in a related field. Electronics experience or equivalent required. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, interpersonal and telephone communication skills are required. A good technical knowledge of computers and computer peripherals. A good working knowledge of computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office platforms. Preferred candidate will have 1 year prior experience servicing thermal imaging equipment or similar technology.
