Position Title: Spanish Translator
Reports to: Shift Supervisor and PM
Position Overview:
Listen to live intercepted calls in Spanish
Id speakers in phone calls, provide verbal interpretation of what is being said to case agent.
Write a detailed summary of phone conversation.
Work on transcription and translation of intercepted calls.
Check and confirm speakers of intercepted calls are correctly identified.
Listen and revise the session synopsis for clarity, and accuracy of translation, and consistency and uniformity of terms, codes, nick names, and aka s.
Revise spelling and grammar in the synopsis.
Confirm Classification Status for correct classification of intercept.
Confirm all fields are properly completed.
Revise intercepted associated number to ensure it has been recognized as used by the identified speaker.
Marked session as completed
Review of non pertinent calls
Keep record of voice ID and Voice Library.
Requirements:
Knowledge: Native or near native Spanish language level. Translation, transcription, interpreting and intel skills. Good writing skills.
Skills: Cross-functional, Cross-cultural and Multitasking skills.
Abilities: Be flexible to project schedule change requests and the possibility of working on weekends on a rotating basis.
Education: Bachelors Degree or at least two years of experience in similar position.
Security Clearance Requirements: DEA or DOD Interim-Secret preferable
Employment Background Requirements:
You must be able to successfully pass an employment background check (not to be confused with a government security clearance investigation) and drug screening as a condition of employment
