What You Will Do

As a Strategic Marketing Manager- Linear and Current Sensors(Japan Region), you will be responsible for strategic marketing and business development activities within Allegro s Hall Effect Sensor Integrated Circuit (IC) Business Unit. You will work closely with Allegro design and applications engineers, field sales managers, and with industry leading customers to:

* Identify new market segments, develop specifications for new products required to penetrate these markets, and define Allegro s future product roadmap.
* Formulate business cases to support new product kickoff and present these business cases to senior management.
* Achieve corporate goals related to product kick-off and release-to-market (RTM) metrics. You will work on IC development activities from product concept through RTM. You will be a key contributor towards the achievement of overall development cycle time, revenue, and profit margin goals.
* Secure global design wins, manage quoting and customer forecast activities, and deliver long term revenue and margin growth for Allegro s Sensor Business Unit.
* Generate Marcom collateral and sales tools required to support product design wins.

Education and Experience Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a BSEE/MSEE or equivalent and have at least 3 years experience in a similar marketing and business development role. Additionally, an MBA or engineering management degree is preferred. A solid understanding of analog or digital electronics is also essential in this position. The successful candidate will also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates must possess the ability to make clear technical and business related presentations both to external Allegro customers and to Allegro s Senior Management Staff.

Additionally, this position involves a strong regional focus in Japan. Candidates must be fluent in Japanese and should have experience conducting business in Japan. The position also requires travel to Japan. The travel schedule will vary, but on average our Strategic Marketing Managers travel for 2 out of every 8 to 12 weeks.
