Summary: (This is a work from home position; must reside within the Greater Nashua area).

Position is responsible for the initial and ongoing education and support of all care providers regarding coding and documentation requirements of Foundation Medical Partners. Education occurs in a variety of settings: direct interactive learning sessions, individually or groups; written guidelines and protocols; periodic coding assessments. Coding educator responsible to build relationships with providers and practices to ensure open communication. Position facilitates and provides detailed analysis, reporting, training, education and support to providers and staff to promote accurate clinical documentation to support billed services.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or higher

preferred.

· Must be a certified professional coder.

· Must possess a valid driver's license.

· 5+ years of coding experience, preferably in a multi-specialty group

practice.

· Experience/knowledge with healthcare coding and documentation

audits and appeals required.

· Knowledge of current healthcare coding, documentation audits and

appeals.

· Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage

with providers and internal/external resources to education on

complex coding and documentation requirements and/or

successfully submit and defend audit appeals.

· Must have strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and the ability

to learn new software as required.

· Must be detail oriented, able to work independently and

collaboratively with administrative, clinical and administrative staff

and providers.

· Must have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

· Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks under deadlines with short

notice; able to consistently and reliably meet deadlines as assigned.
