Tradebe is seeking a Chemist for its Newington, New Hampshire Facility.
Technical Services Chemists are the front-line employees who are responsible for the collection, identification, packaging and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Our Technical Services Chemists have the opportunity to work directly in the field with clients in university, R&D, manufacturing and healthcare settings, gaining invaluable experience and networking opportunities. The position is aimed at intelligent, hard-working, dedicated, and ambitious people looking to become involved in the environmental services industry and are committed to environmental sustainability. This position requires extensive travel and field work.

With health and safety as a priority, the selected candidate will need to identify, segregate, and package unused / discarded chemicals produced at our customer locations per DOT and EPA standards. Will label and load containers onto the trucks to transport packaged materials from the customer site to Tradebe facilities within region. Must accurately maintain daily logs, including time sheets, expense reports, dispatch trip reports and vehicle inspection reports. The selected candidate will work directly with clients to answer questions, solve problems and follow all indicated SOPs for the applicable client locations. Must also be able to adhere to all OSHA and Tradebe safety policies.
A Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, environmental science, or other related science is preferred. Lab Pack experience is preferred but not required. A willingness to travel overnight throughout the week is required. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL Class B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 6 months of hire. The selected candidate must have successful completion of DOT/OSHA physical exam; have the ability to wear a full-face respirator as well as pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
